New community partnership with SkillZone

Woking Town Football Club, championing football for young people in the Woking Borough, announces the formation of a community partnership with SkillZone, the Surrey based soccer training company for children of all abilities. This partnership supports the development of existing coaching to a new level and reaching more youths in the community

Jon Lopez Head of Football Development for Woking Town F.C. says "Woking Town FC are pleased to announce a community partnership with Skillzone to provide professional coaching opportunities to its players from U6 to U17.  The club recognises the importance of supplementing its existing coaching initiatives with the high quality Skillzone coaches who are certified FA Level 2 & 3 coaches.

The objective of the programme is to offer a consistent standard of coaching through the structured programme developed between the club and Skillzone. I am really pleased for all involved in making this initiative happen. It allows the club continue to provide quality football development opportunities for all its young people in the Woking area. We look forward to building a strong long-term relationship with Skillzone that will allow us to continue with our football development plans to optimise player and club development".

Grant Woolger Coaching Director of SkillZone says “Football as a team sport requires players to work together to achieve their goal, thereby encouraging commitment and loyalty, which are desirable qualities for life. SkillZone is delighted to be commencing a working relationship with Woking Town FC and is looking forward to realising the potential talent within the club”.
